Coding a Story is organising an innovative camp for 7-11 years old about Automation: Smart cities and smart homes.
We are creating a miniature smart city with smart homes, self-driving buses, light that turns on when there is movement, sprinkles that start when there is smoke, fans that turn on when it is too hot, garbage that is collected only when the containers are full and many other useful concepts from smart homes and smart cities that are already implemented or are going to be implemented in the near future in our homes and cities. We are using microcontrollers as the brain of our project and we are connecting them with sensors, motors and other components to make everything work. And we are programming them in a simple block-programming language or in JavaScript, depending on children’s preference and experience. Healthy lunch and snacks included. The Youth Intelligence Agency teaches children in a fun way how technology, computers and robotics work. In their lessons, children gain a basic understanding of technology and learn what can be achieved with a little imagination and technology. Little Scientist from 3 years old
Little Scientists is a Swiss based non-profit organisation whose aim is to make high quality STEM extracurricular activities available and accessible to children from all socio-economical background and to encourage involvement of girls in science and technology.
