Raspberry Pi is a mini-computer designed for educational purposes.
Overview
Raspberry Pi is a credit card-sized Nano computer with a circuit and exposed chips. Designed for children from 12 years old, it allows them to learn how to code using Scratch or Python language.
With Scratch, Raspberry Pi is designed for small children who don’t have experience in programming. Concerning Python, it is adapted to children who already master the basics of coding and who have very good notions.
It is also possible for them to consolidate their knowledge and transform Raspberry Pi into a connected object with the different tutorials available. Additionally, it is multilingual. Available in English, French, Italian and, German, children will be able to participate in the various online projects on the different Raspberry Pi sites.
At Digital Kidz, we appreciate the fact that the Nano computer is accessible to everyone. Besides, it is easy to understand and children will have no difficulty in distinguishing the different components of the computer.
We also appreciate the fact that the Raspberry Pi Foundation has made a “Raspberry Pi Starter Kit”. It can easily be connected to a peripheral device and works just like a real computer.
