CREATIVELABZ
The CreativeLabZ develops learning materials and online tutorials for biotinkering activities. It is about creating an environment for learners to find inputs and materials that enable them to engage with a biological topic and digital tools (e.g. micro:bits, scratch, arduino, 3D printer, laser cutter)
At the Plant Science Center’s CreativeLabZ, children and young people can test things themselves with the support of scientists and art educators and look for new solutions in the areas of robotics, coding, bionics, future forecasting, designing nature, technology and the environment. Among other things, there are workshops, holiday courses, exhibitions and a makerspace in Zurich. The focus is on plants and nature themes.
The CreativeLabZ develops learning materials and online tutorials for biotinkering activities. We understand biotinkering as the development and understanding of biological content in an action-oriented, open and constructivist way. It is about creating an environment for learners to find inputs and materials that enable them to engage with a biological topic and digital tools (e.g. micro:bits, scratch, arduino, 3D printer, laser cutter) actively and questioningly and to design products that help to solve a problem, make something invisible visible or give the aesthetics of plants and nature a creative space.
