Osmo Genius was developed by Play OSMO. In order to help children learn digital literacy, Play OSMO has developed an iPad Kit so that children can play games that require physical actions, such as organizing code blocks, moving numbers or organizing tangrams, while practicing new digital concepts. The OSMO Genius Kit is designed to react to the child’s movement on the screen.
OSMO is a gaming system that has successfully adapted the initiation of digital learning beyond the screen, by allowing children to interact with a screen while playing with their hands. It is also a game that encourages collaboration between children, by giving them the opportunity to work together and find the best solutions.
We really like this approach to digital learning between screen and the ability to touch tangrams, numbers, code blocks, or drawings with the on-screen interaction.
